MOTOROLA AND KINETO VALIDATE UMA-BASED FIXED-LINE VOIP SOLUTION FOR MOBILE OPERATORS

Milpitas, Calif.
February 12, 2007

Companies Complete Interoperability Testing and Field Trial of Motorola RSG3500 UMA-enabled
Residential Seamless Mobility Gateway

Kineto Wireless, Inc., the key innovator and leading supplier of Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology,
today announced the successful conclusion of interoperability testing between the Motorola UMA-enabled
Residential Seamless Mobility Gateway (RSG) and Kineto’s UMA Network Controller (UNC) solution. The
companies also announced the successful completion of an operator field trial of the RSG3500.

The Motorola RSG3500 is the industry’s first commercially available residential services gateway with UMAenabled
terminal adaptor capabilities used to deliver fixed-line VoIP services from a mobile operator. The
RSG3500’s two RJ-11 analog phone ports enable mobile operators to deliver dial tone to the fixed line in
subscriber’s homes over the broadband access network.

The RSG3500 has a full-featured, 4-port router and integrated 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi® radio for creating a robust and
secure home data network. What also makes the RSG3500 unique is that it has been especially designed for
seamless mobility, containing advanced packet routing and prioritization for VoIP services, 802.11i for security,
including support for WPA2 and advanced power saving technology.

“In an effort to accelerate fixed-to-mobile substitution mobile operators need solutions to deliver high quality
fixed-line telephone service into subscriber’s homes,” said Kevin Keefe, vice president, Motorola Connected Home
Solutions. “The Motorola RSG3500 is a full-featured residential services gateway solution, ideal for the mobile
operator to deliver reliable, seamless, mobile voice and data solutions. Working with Kineto, we are able to bridge
the gap between mobile service and VoIP.”

“For mobile operators, leveraging UMA technology to deliver fixed-line VoIP services is a low risk, high reward
service opportunity,” said Ken Kolderup, vice president of marketing for Kineto Wireless. “The Motorola
RSG3500 is an ideal solution for taking advantage of this service opportunity.”

The Motorola RSG3500 will be on display at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona 12-15 February, 2006 on the
Kineto Wireless stand 1A49.

About UMA Technology
Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology is the 3GPP global standard for fixed-mobile convergence. UMA
enables secure, scalable access to mobile voice, data and IMS services over broadband IP access networks. By
deploying UMA technology, mobile operators can deliver a number of compelling fixed-mobile convergence
services. The most well known application of UMA is dual-mode cellular/Wi-Fi handsets, which enable subscribers
to automatically roam and handover between cellular networks and public and private WLANs. Leading operators
around the world have embraced UMA technology as the foundation for their fixed-mobile convergence strategy,
including Telecom Italia, France Telecom/Orange and TeliaSonera. For more information, please
